Skills. Talent. Workforce

AccelerateH2O has curated over 10+ years of industry and employment data on all 254 counties across Texas and 16 Texas Water Development Board Planning Regions - highlighting approximately 350,000 directly and 800,000 indirectly employed in nearly 56 different occupations and sector-driven opportunities!

In 2018, we launched two specific Water-Related Skills and Talent Development Initiatives - Inventathons for Youth-Students Engagement, and Boot-Camps for Future and Emerging Operators.

The first-in-the Nation "Inventathon for Water Innovation and Resiliency" attracted 135 middle-, high-school, community college and four-year university students forming 10 teams. Our winners included a five-member team with an underwater "safety" drone for assisting first-responders during swift-water rescues and assessment of infrastructure damage.

In 2019, we will conduct a series of "Water Innovation Boot-Camps" for regional water agencies, utilities, and expertise to engage with next-generation technologies, equipment, best practices, and specific scenarios around resiliency.
